"Dad. I don't think I would have been emo if Mike hadn't died."
-says my 12 year old emo son.

"My friend's house is just like ours was right after Mike died. Everyone just takes care of themselves."
-says Remy in response to my question about how meals are handled at his friend's house.

oh Dan.

As a parent of two teens both 17 this makes my heart ache for them and for you and I know it must make yours.
ReplyDeleteKids left behind...the hardest part...I often think I could handle my broken heart more easily if I wasn't always worrying about their broken hearts and all they are losing out on. Big sigh... Love to you.
ReplyDeleteWell is that what emo is all about?
