What soothes me.
The trickling sound of water.
A cool breeze.
The faint scent of incense.
A butterfly.
The soil beneath my nails.
Chanting voices.
Movement in unison.
A smile from a stranger.
The written word.
Dark wood.
Soft fabrics.
An old photograph.
Orchids.
Moola Mantra
Vanilla.
Cold metal.
Worn out jeans.
Votive Candles.
Walking a Labyrinth.
just reading those words soothed me.
ReplyDeleteI know that this is going to be a very hard weekend for you Dan and hope that you know that you are loved and cherished, not only by me, but by so many people.
I want to come over and just hold you through it.
ditto, Boo. Finding those things that still survive to soothe is - necessary. Think I will make my own list this morning.
ReplyDeleteShould be a package for you today, dan. Regular mail.
Wonderful list. It inspires me to make a list too. The smell of sage brush on the high plains just after a light rain will figure up near the top.
ReplyDeleteHope you are finding a place of peace at this time.
Dear Dan,
ReplyDeleteA day doesn't go by that I don't think of you. Sending love and light your way. . . .
